As we face uncertain times and each new day brings new information, challenges and restrictions, it is official that the Covid-19 virus is impacting us all in some way. But it doesn't have to be all negative.
Firstly, I want to express my love and support to everyone who is impacted by the hardships, disappointments and uncertainty of this time. It has been a crazy time recently and my hope is that you and your loved ones are safe and staying healthy.
Amid all the chaos that has been happening, it is refreshing to see sights such as villages of Italians standing on their balconies, singing their national anthem. In a country that has been hit hard by this virus, it is great to see the communities rallying together and staying positive.
For me, this is what I will take from the virus, the positive effects that this virus has had on bringing families and communities together. It is a time of reflection for us all to rethink our priorities and life choices and focus on the life we want to create for ourselves, our families and our communities in the future.
There have also been some lovely images and quotes on social media. Yesterday this quote below flashed up in my Facebook feed, and I thought it was too precious not to share. I don't know who this person is that wrote it, but what a great way to look at life at this time.
"And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and grew gardens full of fresh food, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.
And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed." ~ Kitty O'Meara
To everyone out there, please stay calm, stay happy, stay healthy, stay kind, stay loving and stay positive. We will get through this together.
Love Lyn xx
